Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m.)
The trail will enter through the Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The first settlement you come across is Mulkharka with Tamang inhabitants. The route goes down the ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisopani (2300m.) Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m.)
The trail descends to Chisopani and continues to descend through Pathi Bhanjyang until Gul Bhanjyang. The trail climbs the ridge from Gul Bhanjyang to another pass at 2620m. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Kutumsang to Ghopte via Magen Goth (3514m.) and Tharepati Pass (3650m.)
The trek continues north up the Yurin Danda ridge and offers views of the great peaks. The trail climbs above Kutumsang on a steep, eroded trail mostly through fir and rhododendron forest where there are no permanent settlements. It then descends to Magen Goth. You will reach Tharepati consisting of a few Goths and lodges where you will spend the night in a lodge.

Trek from Ghopte to Gosaikunda (4361m.)
The trail ascends through a meadow of bushes and some rhododendron trees up to Phedi (3500m.) The path ascends along a stream through alpine trees. The trail then is bit rough and crosses moraines but it is well marked with rock cairns. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Gosaikunda to Chandanbari (2350m.)
The trail gently ascends for a short time through different chortens and small Shiva temples before descending to Laure Binayak to Singh Gompa. The trail will now go through the forest to reach Chandanbari. Stay overnight at lodge

Trek from Chandanbari to Syabru Gaon (2210m.)
The trail descends through the forest before coming across the Chortens on the route specially built for offering prayers by Buddhists. You will then reach Syabru Gaon which is densely populated by Buddhist people. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Syabru Gaon to Lama Hotel (2380m.)
The trail initially crosses the Langtang Khola (stream) and then gradually climbs up through the sub-tropical forests, teeming with bird-life, to join the trail from Syabru. You then follow the river, climbing through uninhabited forests of oak and rhododendron. You climb along a steep trail to the forest. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3500m.)
As you continue ascending there are occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees. At Ghora Tabela (3000m), the trail emerges from the forest. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3800m.)
The trail ascends gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. You arrive at Kyangjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting, with snow covered peaks such as Langtang Lirung, Ganjala peak, Tserko ri and Langsisa ri surrounding you in all directions. Stay overnight at lodge.

Today you trek and climb up to Tserko Ri (5033m.) and then trek back to Kyangjin Gompa
You trek along a steeply ascending trail all the way to the top. On the way you can see Himalayan pheasants, Himalayan deer and outstanding views of surrounding peaks and mountains. From Tserko Ri, you have panoramic views of Sisapangma, Langshisa Ri, NayaKang, Yala peak, Langtang Lirung and many others. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Kyanjing Gompa to Ngegang (4000m.)
The trail goes on ascending and the area is covered with little natural vegetation. Since there are not any available lodges, you need to camp. Stay overnight in camp.

Trek from Ngegang to Keldang (5106m.) via Ganja La (5100m.)
This day is comparatively strenuous as you need to cross the Ganja la pass. You find the Ganja la pass covered with snowy ice most times throughout the year. Stay overnight in camp.

Trek from Keldang to Dukpu (4080m.)
Your camping site will be inside the forest. This day will be a long day walking along ridges and grassland with amazing views of the mountains. Stay overnight in camp.

Trek from Dukpu to Tarkeghyang (2740m.)
The trail descends about 200m. and then climbs the 4100m pass. Views from the pass are spectacular to the Annapurna and Everest Regions. From the pass, the trail descends through pine and rhododendron forests past a tiny herder’s settlement to Tarkeghyang. You can also visit one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries and Sherpa villages. These villages are well settled and are inhabited by friendly and cheerful natured people. Stay overnight in camp

Trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2621m.)
There is a beautiful village about half way to Shermathang. Shermathang is another pretty Sherpa village where you can visit several ancient monasteries. From here you can see the Jugal Himal. Stay overnight at lodge.

Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m.)
The trail gradually descends all the way to Melamchi Pul Bazaar through meadows and cultivated fields. On the way, you come across several old villages with their own particular traditions. On the same day drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu takes about four and half hours. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
